These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Sewaks website and related services (the “Service”) operated by Sewaks (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About Sewaks
Sewaks is an online directory that helps people discover, save, and contact Nepalese businesses, services, and professionals across Australia. Listings are provided by business owners, representatives, or community contributors. We do not guarantee that every listing is complete, current, or accurate.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account or submit a listing. You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is truthful and that you have authority to publish it.
3. Accounts
When you register, you must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at info@sewaks.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Listings and user content
If you submit or manage a listing, you confirm that:
- you have the right to publish the content and any images or contact details shown;
- the listing does not infringe third-party rights or mislead users;
- offers, prices, and availability are described honestly; and
- you will update or remove content that becomes outdated or incorrect.
You grant Sewaks a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and promote your listing content on the Service for as long as it remains published.
We may review, edit formatting of, feature, verify, reject, suspend, or remove listings at our discretion, including where content appears unlawful, misleading, abusive, or inconsistent with these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data except as permitted by us;
- attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls;
- impersonate another person or business;
- upload malware, spam, or deceptive contact details; or
- interfere with other users’ use of the Service.
6. Enquiries, bookmarks, and recommendations
Contact forms and enquiry features route messages to listing owners or designated recipients. We are not a party to arrangements made between users and listing owners. Saved listings, recommendations, and analytics are provided for convenience and may change or be withdrawn.
7. Verification and claims
Verification badges or status labels indicate review steps we have applied at a point in time. They do not constitute legal, financial, or professional endorsement. If you believe a listing should be transferred to you as the rightful owner, you may use our claim process where available. We may request supporting evidence.
8. Intellectual property
The Sewaks name, logo, site design, and original platform content are owned by us or our licensors. You must not copy or reuse them without permission except as allowed by law.
9. Third-party links and services
Listings and pages may link to third-party websites, social profiles, maps, messaging apps, or payment services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Directory information is supplied by users and third parties; you should independently verify important details before relying on them.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sewaks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss arising from dealings between users and listing owners. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Sewaks against claims, losses, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your listings, or your misuse of the Service, except to the extent caused by our negligence or misconduct.

14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows when they were last revised. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, or remove content, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Australia, subject to any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory laws.
